Is the 2022 Audi Q5 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Audi Q5 earns a 5/5 user rating, which supports its appeal as a luxury compact SUV. It stands out for comfort, quality, standard all-wheel drive, a spacious interior, and a large trunk, while even the entry-level version comes well equipped with features like leather upholstery, heated front seats, rain-sensing wipers, and cruise control. If you want an upscale SUV that still works well for everyday use, this model year fits that brief. Good and great deals make up 31.0% of listings, so there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2022 Audi Q5 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 Q5 is described as a refined second-generation model with few major weak spots, which is encouraging if you want a used luxury SUV that feels settled and well sorted. Its smooth ride, high-quality cabin, and standard equipment help reinforce that impression. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is paying too much for a premium vehicle that can still carry higher running costs than mainstream alternatives.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Audi Q5?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be patient and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 361 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.08% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $30,434 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Audi Q5's resale value?

The current average of $30,434 CAD sits slightly below last year's $37,150 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Q5 easier to buy now but may also limit near-term upside for a future seller. If you purchase at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking an immediate depreciation hit. The model's premium image and practical appeal should still help it remain broadly desirable in the used market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $27,718 CAD, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $30,434 CAD average.
• It stands out for its electrified plug-in hybrid option.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $34,964 CAD, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $30,434 CAD average.
• It adds a sporty yet comfortable feel with more technology.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around choice if you want a well-equipped luxury SUV with strong owner satisfaction and better pricing than the 2023. If your priority is saving money, the 2021 is the better secondary path, especially if its plug-in hybrid angle matters to you.
