Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Audi Q5?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right listing.

• Inventory: There are 312 listings available.

What is the 2017 Audi Q5's resale value?

The current average of $14,774 CAD sits slightly below last year's $17,457 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more affordably now, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays under pressure. If you plan to sell later, the current trend suggests you should focus on condition, mileage, and service history to protect value. Strong presentation and a clean ownership record will matter more when the market is already leaning lower.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 29.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.37% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $19,381 CAD, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $14,774 CAD average.
• It brings a full redesign with more room and newer technology.

The bottom line: Choose the 2017 if you want the better value and are comfortable with the first-generation Q5’s premium comfort-first character. If you’re price-sensitive, the 2017 is the smarter buy; if you want the newer redesign and can stretch your budget, the 2018 is the stronger upgrade path.
