Is the 2017 Audi Q5 a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Audi Q5 earns a 4.6/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers commonly praise its spacious interior, refined comfort, and fun driving experience, while also appreciating its towing capacity and handling. In practical terms, that lines up well with its role as a luxury compact SUV that prioritises everyday usability, a premium cabin, and a polished feel over ruggedness. With 24.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Audi Q5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback highlights a vehicle that many owners find dependable in daily use, with the kind of refined comfort and practicality that makes it easy to count on. At the same time, the ownership experience can be shaped by higher running costs, so used buyers should budget carefully for long-term maintenance and be selective about service history.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Audi Q5?

The market looks moderately favourable if you are a selective buyer who can compare a few listings before committing.

• Deal availability: 24.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 299 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.23% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $14,528 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Audi Q5's resale value?

The current average of $14,528 CAD sits slightly below last year's $17,554 CAD.

That price movement suggests the model has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price today. A softer market can also make it harder to recover a premium later unless the vehicle is especially well kept and well documented. Strong condition, clean history, and desirable equipment matter more when resale values are already under pressure.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 24.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.23% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $19,037 CAD, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $14,528 CAD average.
• It brings a full redesign with more technology, room, and sophistication.

The bottom line: Choose the 2017 if you want the lower entry price and a well-liked luxury SUV with solid everyday appeal. Consider the 2018 if you are willing to pay more for the redesigned package and the added refinement that comes with it.
