Is the 2024 Audi Q5 a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2024 Audi Q5 stands out as a polished luxury compact SUV that puts comfort, quality, and practicality ahead of outright sportiness. It has standard quattro all-wheel drive, a smooth and comfortable ride, and a roomy, high-quality interior, while its large trunk helps reinforce its everyday usefulness. Audi also gives it a premium feel throughout, so even the basic version comes across as well equipped rather than stripped down.

For you, that means the Q5 makes the most sense if you want a premium SUV that feels substantial, well finished, and easy to live with. 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Audi Q5’s appeal is also tied to its standard equipment and refined powertrain. It comes with a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 268 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and standard quattro all-wheel drive. The cabin can be loaded with screens, including an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.5-inch infotainment display, and the interior can be trimmed with quilting and available sustainable materials made from recycled plastics.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that premium features and complex hardware can mean higher repair costs if maintenance is neglected.

Should I buy a 2024 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

Choose the 2024 if:

• 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 21.76% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• It adds a redesign with current design language and tech.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the best all-around choice if you want the strongest mix of comfort, practicality, and current-market value. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the better budget path; if you want the newest tech and redesign, the 2025 is the upgrade to consider.
