For long-term ownership, a well-kept example is the safer bet.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Audi A4?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 128 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.04% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $14,511 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Audi A4's resale value?

The current average of $14,511 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,614 CAD.

That price movement suggests the model has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can be helpful if you are buying now but less favourable if you plan to sell soon. If the market stays steady, future resale values may be shaped more by condition, mileage, and maintenance history than by broad price swings. Well-kept examples should remain easier to move than neglected ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Audi A4 or consider a different year?

The bottom line: The 2017 Audi A4 is the better pick if you want a well-liked used luxury sedan with softer pricing and a decent share of attractive listings.
