How much does the 2017 Audi A3 cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $14,796 CAD |
| Year-Round Low | $14,736 CAD |
| Year-Round High | $17,765 CAD |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $17,403 CAD |
| Change vs. Last Year | −14.98% |
Prices have softened 14.98% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.
There are 76 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.
Is the 2017 Audi A3 a good car?
Yes — the 5/5 user rating suggests strong owner satisfaction for this model year. That kind of feedback can be a useful sign if you want a used car that has pleased previous owners. With 30.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2017 Audi A3 reliable?
Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
For used buyers, that points to lower ownership risk than you might expect from a car without strong owner feedback, especially if the specific vehicle has been well maintained.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Audi A3?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can afford to compare listings carefully rather than rush.
- Deal availability: 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 76 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 14.98% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $14,736 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2017 Audi A3's resale value?
The current average of $14,796 CAD sits slightly below last year's $17,403 CAD.
That softer pricing can be a mixed signal if you're thinking about future resale. On one hand, it may help you buy at a more attractive entry point today. On the other, it suggests the market has already adjusted downward, so a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2017 Audi A3 or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2017 if:
- 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 14.98% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: If you want a used Audi A3 with solid owner feedback and a market that has moved in your favour, the 2017 is a sensible place to start. If you're especially price-sensitive, keep an eye on listings near the low end of the range and compare them against nearby model years before deciding.
These recommendations are based on CarGurus' proprietary market data from October 6, 2026, CarGurus experts' opinions, and generative AI.
