That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the car easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the softer pricing means you may need to be more competitive on condition, mileage, and service records to stand out. The good news is that a model with broad everyday appeal and strong owner satisfaction can still attract steady interest when it is well kept.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Volkswagen Jetta or consider a different year?
