Should I buy a 2016 Toyota RAV4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 21.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.11% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $15,785 CAD, the 2015 costs less than the current year's $17,820 CAD average.
• It offers spacious practicality and strong everyday usefulness.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2016 if you want the newer updates, stronger feature set, and a still-reasonable market price. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2015 is the better value play, especially if you can find one in good condition with the equipment you want.
