If you buy well and keep the car in good condition, you should have a reasonable chance of holding value better than a weaker-demand used sedan.

Should I buy a 2016 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.74% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 Camry makes sense if you want a comfortable, practical midsize sedan with strong owner approval and a market that still shows decent deal availability. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year with a lower average price may be worth comparing, but the 2016 remains a solid choice when condition, history, and asking price line up.
