How much does the 2016 Subaru Crosstrek cost?

Prices have softened 18.64% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 100 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2016 Subaru Crosstrek a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Subaru Crosstrek earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its safety, reliability, all-wheel drive, versatility, and easy handling. That lines up well if you want an affordable daily driver with real all-weather capability and practical cargo space. With 38% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a decent share of attractive options in the market.

Is the 2016 Subaru Crosstrek reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights reliability, and it also describes the Crosstrek as dependable and easy to live with. That kind of reputation matters if you want a used vehicle you can count on for everyday driving and poor-weather use. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the core formula and more about finding one that has been maintained properly over time.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Subaru Crosstrek?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 38% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 100 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.64% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $12,770 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Subaru Crosstrek's resale value?

The current average of $12,851 CAD sits slightly below last year's $15,796 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Crosstrek easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you own one, the current pricing trend means resale value is being shaped more by condition, mileage, and equipment than by broad market momentum. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Subaru Crosstrek or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 38% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.64% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 Crosstrek is a sensible choice if you want the familiar Subaru formula, strong owner satisfaction, and a market that currently gives you some negotiating room. If you are price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby years to see whether a similar Crosstrek offers a better mix of condition, mileage, and asking price.
