Is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE a good car?

Yes — the 4.9/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. It also suits you well if you want a premium, family-focused SUV with a practical shape and a broad spread of equipment. Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be patient and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 28.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 71 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.94% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $26,592 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $27,239 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,959 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has eased, which can make the model more attractive to buyers but may also limit upside for a future seller if values continue to soften. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle well maintained, you can help protect your position when it comes time to resell. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 28.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.94% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the original year of this renamed SUV with strong owner approval, the 2016 is a sensible place to start. You should prioritise it if you value the combination of luxury, comfort, and practical family use. If you are more price-sensitive, keep an eye on listings near the lower end of the range and compare them carefully against nearby model years before you decide.
