What is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz C-Class's resale value?

The current average of $18,257 CAD sits slightly below last year's $21,014 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the car more approachable for you now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the chance of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. The current range also shows that well-priced examples can still attract attention.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Mercedes-Benz C-Class or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.12% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $23,125 CAD, the 2017 costs more than the current year's $18,257 CAD average.
• It keeps the same polished luxury formula with a stronger sense of continuity.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2016 if you want the better value play and are comfortable shopping carefully for condition and history. Consider the 2017 if you are willing to pay more for a newer example and prefer a slightly more upmarket entry point.
