Generally — the 2016 Lexus RX earns a 4.3/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Is the 2016 Lexus RX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.3/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights reliability, comfort, and a trouble-free ownership experience as key strengths, which is exactly the kind of pattern used buyers look for in a premium SUV. That price movement suggests the RX has become more accessible for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to be realistic about pricing if they want to move the vehicle quickly. The current market still supports the model’s premium positioning, especially because demand remains tied to its comfort-focused reputation and strong owner satisfaction. If you buy well now and keep the vehicle in good condition, you should be in a better position to protect value later.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Lexus RX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.09% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2016 if you want a comfortable, well-liked luxury SUV and you find one priced near the lower end of the market. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may offer a lower entry point, but the 2016 remains the better all-around choice when you want a strong mix of comfort, owner satisfaction, and current market value.
