Used 2016 Kia Sportage for Sale near Ontario

How much does the 2016 Kia Sportage cost?

Prices have softened 4.95% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 146 listings available, which suggests a reasonable amount of inventory for shoppers comparing prices and trims.

Is the 2016 Kia Sportage a good car?

Yes — 4.7/5 is a strong user rating for a used compact SUV, and the 2016 Sportage’s appeal comes from its practical everyday usability and more engaging driving character than some rivals. It offers passable room for four average adults, and its rugged styling helps it stand out if you want something a little less ordinary. The trade-off is that it is not especially spacious, so it suits you best if you value balanced utility over maximum cargo room. With 24.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Kia Sportage reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2016 Sportage’s straightforward gasoline powertrain and practical compact-SUV layout make it a sensible used buy if you want something familiar and easy to live with. For long-term ownership, your main risk is less about complexity and more about choosing a well-maintained example that has been cared for consistently.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Kia Sportage?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 24.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 146 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.95% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $10,468 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Kia Sportage's resale value?

The current average of $11,415 CAD sits slightly below last year's $12,009 CAD.

That softer pricing trend suggests the Sportage is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago, which can make it easier for you to get into one at a reasonable cost. For a future seller, the same trend means resale expectations should stay realistic unless the vehicle is especially clean, well equipped, or unusually low in kilometres. Demand should remain supported by the model’s solid user satisfaction and practical appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Kia Sportage or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 24.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.95% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a used Sportage with a lower average price and decent deal availability, the 2016 is a sensible place to start. If your priority is paying less up front, you may also want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-priced example rather than the model year alone.
