How much does the 2016 Hyundai Tucson cost?

Prices have softened 11.37% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 412 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2016 Hyundai Tucson a good car?

The 2016 Hyundai Tucson is a solid choice if you want a compact SUV that balances comfort, features, and everyday practicality, and its 3.83/5 user rating reflects that mixed but generally positive reception. Drivers commonly praise the smooth ride, comfortable interior, and reliability, while also appreciating available touches like cooled seats and the panoramic roof. In use-case terms, it makes the most sense if you want a practical small SUV with a more upscale feel than Hyundai’s earlier efforts and enough equipment to feel well sorted for daily driving. With 29.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2016 Hyundai Tucson reliable?

The 2016 Hyundai Tucson stands out as a more refined and better-rounded compact SUV than the model that came before it. Drivers often describe it as reliable and comfortable, and many say they appreciate its smooth ride and the sense that it can be a dependable daily driver. At the same time, some owners have reported serious concerns with safety and transmission behaviour, so you should pay close attention to service history and how the vehicle drives on a test route. For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is best managed by choosing a well-maintained example and avoiding any vehicle with unresolved transmission or recall-related issues.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Hyundai Tucson?

This is a moderate buyer's market, so you can be selective without expecting every good example to disappear immediately.

• Deal availability: 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 412 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.37% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $11,993 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Hyundai Tucson's resale value?

The current average of $11,993 CAD sits slightly below last year's $13,531 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Tucson has softened enough to give buyers more negotiating room today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may be more sensitive to condition, mileage, and equipment level than it would be in a stronger market. If you buy well and keep the vehicle in strong shape, you should be better positioned to protect value later.

Should I buy a 2016 Hyundai Tucson or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.37% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2016 Tucson is a sensible pick if you want a more refined compact SUV with a strong feature set and you can find one with a clean history. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare it with nearby years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than the newest badge alone.
