How much does the 2016 Hyundai Accent cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $8,322 CAD |
| Year-Round Low | $7,933 CAD |
| Year-Round High | $9,636 CAD |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $9,442 CAD |
| Change vs. Last Year | −11.86% |
Prices have softened 11.86% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.
There are 119 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.
Is the 2016 Hyundai Accent a good car?
Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction for the 2016 Hyundai Accent. That kind of feedback suggests you may be looking at a used car that has met expectations for everyday ownership. With 24.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively rather than rushing into the first example you see.
Is the 2016 Hyundai Accent reliable?
Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
For used buyers, that kind of owner feedback can reduce the risk of unpleasant surprises, though you should still budget for normal age-related maintenance and inspect any specific car carefully.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Hyundai Accent?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to be patient and compare listings.
- Deal availability: 24.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 119 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 11.86% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $7,933 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2016 Hyundai Accent's resale value?
The current average of $8,322 CAD sits slightly below last year's $9,442 CAD.
That softer pricing can be a mixed signal if you're thinking ahead to resale: it may help you buy at a more attractive entry point now, but it also suggests the market has already adjusted downward. If you plan to sell later, buying well below the current average can help protect your future value. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2016 Hyundai Accent or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2016 if:
- 24.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 11.86% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line:
If you want the strongest mix of owner satisfaction and current market softness, the 2016 is the year to focus on. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, you may also want to compare nearby years and target the lowest-priced examples with clean histories and solid maintenance records.
