How much does the 2016 Honda Pilot cost?

Prices have softened 14.83% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 179 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2016 Honda Pilot a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Honda Pilot earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its spacious interior, family-friendly features, and comfort, and many also like its good gas mileage. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a three-row SUV focused on family use, everyday practicality, and convenience. With 29.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is also a decent amount of market value to work with.

Is the 2016 Honda Pilot reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many drivers find dependable for family duty, with praise centred on comfort, space, and day-to-day usability. That kind of feedback matters if you want a used SUV you can count on for regular commuting, school runs, and road trips.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright satisfaction and more about making sure the specific example you choose has been maintained well.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Honda Pilot?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 29.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 179 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.83% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $17,493 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Honda Pilot's resale value?

The current average of $17,493 CAD sits slightly below last year's $20,540 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the Pilot easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. The model’s strong owner satisfaction should help support demand, especially among shoppers looking for a family-focused three-row SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Honda Pilot or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 29.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.83% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a used three-row SUV with strong owner approval, family-friendly space, and a softer price than last year, the 2016 is the one to prioritise. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby years to see whether a lower-priced example better fits your budget.
