Used 2016 Chevrolet Traverse for Sale nearWaterloo, ON

How much does the 2016 Chevrolet Traverse cost?

Prices have softened 19.90% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 60 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2016 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — 4.5/5 is a strong user rating for a used SUV, and the Traverse’s appeal is easy to understand if you need a genuinely large three-row crossover. The cabin is built around space and practicality, with a usable third row, plenty of room for passengers and cargo, and a maximum cargo volume of 3,296 litres. It is especially well suited to families who want minivan-like usefulness without moving away from SUV styling.

The Traverse also offers straightforward family utility, including seating flexibility and a layout that prioritises people and gear. With 33.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still gives you some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2016 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

That said, the Traverse’s reliability record is described as poor, with concerns around electrical and power steering issues as well as engine and transmission trouble. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is worth taking seriously, especially if service history is incomplete or the vehicle has not been inspected thoroughly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Chevrolet Traverse?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 60 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.90% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $10,349 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $10,486 CAD sits slightly below last year's $13,092 CAD.

That decline suggests the Traverse has become more affordable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer pricing environment than they would have a year ago. If you buy one now, the lower entry price can help offset some depreciation risk. The model’s strong utility should still support steady interest from shoppers who need space first and foremost.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.90% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of space, value, and straightforward family usefulness, the 2016 is a sensible place to start. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years as well, but the 2016 already looks attractive thanks to its lower average price and decent deal availability.
