Yes — the 2016 Honda Pilot earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. You’ll likely appreciate its spacious interior, family-friendly features, and comfortable day-to-day usability, especially if you want a three-row SUV that prioritises practicality. The overview also highlights its strong emphasis on safety and comfort, which fits well if you’re shopping for a family vehicle. Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as comfortable and family-friendly, and the review summary points to a vehicle many owners are happy to live with over time. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright dissatisfaction and more about finding one that has been maintained well and still feels solid inside.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Honda Pilot?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you’re comparing listings.

• Deal availability: 28.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 185 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.96% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $17,599 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Honda Pilot's resale value?

The current average of $17,599 CAD sits slightly below last year's $20,695 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the model easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you own one, strong condition and good maintenance history will matter more because the broader market has softened. A well-kept example should still appeal to family buyers looking for space and comfort.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Honda Pilot or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 28.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.96% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of value, safety-focused features, and family-friendly practicality, the 2016 is a strong place to start. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the cleanest history and the best asking price.
