Should I buy a 2016 Honda CR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 26.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.42% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $14,644 CAD, the 2015 costs less than the current year's $15,537 CAD average.
• It offers a refined, practical package with strong everyday appeal.

The bottom line:
The 2016 is the better all-around pick if you want a well-liked, practical compact crossover with solid market support. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2015 is the better secondary path, especially if you find one in strong condition and priced below the current average.
