Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Ford Edge?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 27.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 202 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.81% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $12,088 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Ford Edge's resale value?

The current average of $12,142 CAD sits slightly below last year's $14,956 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become more buyer-friendly, which can make it harder for a future seller to command a premium unless the vehicle is especially well maintained. If you buy at the right price now, you may have less room for depreciation pressure later than someone who paid closer to the previous year’s average. Strong condition, service history, and desirable equipment should matter more when it comes time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Ford Edge or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 27.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.81% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 Ford Edge makes sense if you want a well-liked SUV with a softer used-market price and enough inventory to compare options. If you are more price-sensitive, it is worth cross-shopping nearby years to see whether a lower asking price or a better-equipped example gives you more value for your budget.
