Is the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

Generally — the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado earns a 4.2/5 user rating, which points to solid owner satisfaction. Owners commonly praise its value, performance, and comfort, and many like its manageable size and capability compared with other midsize trucks. It also fits well if you want a practical pickup that is easier to live with than a full-size truck while still offering useful utility. With 34.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado reliable?

Owners rate it 4.2/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that many people find dependable in day-to-day use, with strong value and comfort helping support confidence over time. That said, used buyers should still pay close attention to service history and transmission behaviour, since long-term ownership risk can rise if prior maintenance was inconsistent.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Chevrolet Colorado?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can be choosy without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 50 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.93% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $18,919 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Chevrolet Colorado's resale value?

The current average of $18,919 CAD sits slightly below last year's $23,926 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the truck easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For future sellers, the softer pricing means you may need to be more competitive on condition, mileage, and equipment to stand out. Stronger trims and well-kept examples should hold buyer interest better than basic work-oriented versions.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.2/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Chevrolet Colorado or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.93% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.2/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 Colorado makes sense if you want a midsize pickup with strong owner approval, a softer price than a year ago, and enough inventory to compare options. If you're price-sensitive, this is a good year to target; if you want the broadest selection of well-priced listings, you should focus on the best-maintained examples rather than chasing the cheapest truck on the lot.
