Is the 2016 Audi Q5 a good car?

Yes — the 4.7/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the smooth driving experience, superb interior quality, and impressive performance, while also appreciating the spaciousness and premium features that make the Q5 feel genuinely upscale. In practical terms, that lines up well with the Q5’s role as a compact luxury SUV for you if you want comfort, quality, and everyday usability in one package. With 28.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still a meaningful share of attractive inventory to shop.

Is the 2016 Audi Q5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many people find dependable and trouble-free in day-to-day use, especially when it comes to comfort and overall ownership experience. At the same time, the model’s long-term reputation is mixed enough that you should pay close attention to maintenance history and signs of wear before buying. For used buyers, that means the biggest ownership risk is not the concept of the vehicle itself, but whether the specific example has been cared for properly over time.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Audi Q5?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 155 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 23.60% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $12,883 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Audi Q5's resale value?

The current average of $12,883 CAD sits slightly below last year's $16,863 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Q5 more appealing to you as a buyer today but less favourable if you are thinking about future resale. If you buy at the current average, there may be less room for appreciation later unless the vehicle is especially well kept. Strong condition, complete service records, and desirable equipment will matter more when it comes time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 23.60% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 Q5 makes sense if you want a well-equipped luxury SUV with strong owner approval and a softer used-market price. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a similar Q5 offers a better mix of equipment and value, but the 2016 remains a sensible primary target when comfort and premium feel matter most.
