Is the 2016 Porsche Macan a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction for this model year. The 2016 Macan is aimed at you if you want a compact SUV that puts driving enjoyment ahead of outright practicality, with a sportier brief than most rivals and a smaller, nimbler feel than the Cayenne. It also comes with all-wheel drive and a seven-speed PDK automatic transmission, which supports its polished, performance-focused character. The market shows 31.4% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Porsche Macan reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2016 Macan is described as combining a premium interior, strong reliability, and genuinely engaging road manners, which is a reassuring mix for used buyers. Its standard equipment is also strong for the model year, including electric front seat adjustment, electric folding door mirrors, and a power tailgate, with added features such as three-zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors, and lane departure warning on the base model.

For long-term ownership, you should still budget carefully for a premium SUV, especially if you are considering higher-powered versions that use more fuel.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Porsche Macan?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 121 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.22% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $20,856 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Porsche Macan's resale value?

The current average of $21,758 CAD sits slightly below last year's $27,271 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to be realistic about expectations if they plan to trade in or list privately. The year-round range still shows healthy upper-end pricing, which can help support value for well-kept examples. A model with strong demand and a premium badge can still hold appeal, especially when shoppers are comparing it against other compact luxury SUVs.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Porsche Macan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.22% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest value balance, the 2016 is a sensible primary choice because it combines a lower average price with solid deal availability and strong owner satisfaction. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years, but the 2016 already gives you a compelling mix of premium feel and market softness.
