Yes — the 2016 Audi Q5 earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. That lines up well with its role as a compact luxury SUV that prioritises refinement, comfort, and everyday usability over flash. Is the 2016 Audi Q5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback highlights a dependable-feeling driving experience and a vehicle that many shoppers feel comfortable living with over time. The praise for its smoothness, premium build quality, and overall usability suggests that many owners have found it trouble-free enough to recommend. Even so, used buyers should still budget carefully for age-related maintenance and inspect service history closely, since long-term ownership risk can rise if prior care was inconsistent.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Audi Q5?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 157 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.28% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $13,063 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Audi Q5's resale value?

The current average of $13,063 CAD sits slightly below last year's $16,385 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Q5 easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you plan to resell later, the current softness means your return will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance records. Well-kept examples should still hold appeal because the Q5’s premium cabin and comfort-focused reputation remain part of its draw.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.28% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 Audi Q5 makes the most sense if you want a well-equipped, comfort-first luxury SUV and you can find one with a clean history and strong maintenance records. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may offer a similar ownership experience, but the 2016 is a sensible target when you want a balance of value, premium feel, and broad market availability.
