This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can be choosy without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

What is the 2016 Audi A3's resale value?

The current average of $12,643 CAD sits slightly below last year's $13,597 CAD.

That softer pricing can be a mixed signal if you're thinking ahead to resale: it may help you buy at a more attractive entry point, but it can also mean less room for appreciation later. If the market stays steady, a lower purchase price today can still support a reasonable ownership cost over time. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Audi A3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.01% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest balance of price, availability, and owner satisfaction, the 2016 is a sensible place to focus your search. If you're especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby years and prioritise whichever one gives you the best combination of condition and asking price.
