This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 62 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.97% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $11,293 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Audi A3's resale value?

The current average of $13,035 CAD sits slightly below last year's $13,716 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favourable point in the cycle, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, buying closer to the lower end of the range can help protect your eventual return. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Audi A3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.97% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 Audi A3 makes sense if you want a used example with a decent owner rating and some pricing softness on your side. If you’re price-sensitive, keep an eye on listings near the low end of the range and be ready to act when a well-priced one appears.
