Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Audi A3?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

The current average of $12,899 CAD sits slightly below last year's $13,447 CAD.

That kind of softening can make the car easier to buy now, but it also suggests future sellers may need to price carefully to stay competitive. If the market continues to favour shoppers, resale values may remain under some pressure. Well-kept examples should still hold up better than neglected ones.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Audi A3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a sensible choice if you want a model year with decent market availability and a softer price trend. If you're price-sensitive, keep an eye on listings near the lower end of the range and move quickly when you find a clean example. If you want the broadest value hunt, compare this year against nearby model years to see whether a slightly newer or older option better fits your budget.
