Is the 2015 Subaru Legacy a good car?

Is the 2015 Subaru Legacy reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to reliability, with comments about minimal maintenance needs even at high mileage and a reputation for being dependable over time. That kind of feedback suggests you may be able to count on it for steady daily use if the specific example has been maintained properly.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the model’s reputation and more about the condition of the individual vehicle you choose.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Subaru Legacy?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 14.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 43 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.02% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $10,194 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Subaru Legacy's resale value?

The current average of $10,600 CAD sits slightly below last year's $12,328 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the car easier to buy now but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you purchase at the right price, you may reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. The relatively steady demand implied by the current inventory can help support resale interest, especially if the car is in good condition.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2015 Subaru Legacy or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 14.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.02% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2015 is a sensible choice if you want a used Legacy with strong owner approval and a softer price than it had a year ago. If your priority is stretching your budget further, you can also keep an eye on other model years, but the 2015 stands out as a balanced option when you find a well-priced example.
