The current average of $11,839 CAD sits slightly below last year's $12,246 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy at a more favourable point if you plan to keep the vehicle for several years. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance records rather than on broad market momentum alone. Because the model still has solid owner satisfaction, well-kept examples should continue to attract interest.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2015 Subaru Forester or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 25.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.32% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2015 is a sensible choice if you want a practical, all-weather compact SUV with strong owner approval and some room to negotiate. If you are price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby model years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than the newest badge on the tailgate.
