CarGurus Analysis: 2014 Toyota Camry

Summary
With 55 currently listed for sale and an average price of $14,370 CAD, 25.5% of 2014 Toyota Camry listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favourably reviewed: Owners rated the 2014 Toyota Camry 4.4 / 5 stars.
Why it stands out
The 2014 Toyota Camry stands out as a sensible, easy-to-live-with midsize sedan that leans more on practicality than flash. It has a reputation for being comfortable, dependable, and cost-effective, and the buying guide notes that this generation is generally well built and reliable. For shoppers who want a car that is straightforward to own and unlikely to cause trouble, that combination is a major part of its appeal.
By 2014, the Camry had already received a far-reaching mid-life facelift for the 2014 model year, with major design changes on the outside, higher-quality materials inside, and equipment upgrades across the trim range. The generation also offered a roomy interior despite unchanged exterior dimensions, plus a quieter cabin thanks to improved soundproofing. Standard equipment on the LE included air conditioning, 10 airbags, and Toyota’s Star Safety System, while SE and XLE versions added more comfort and convenience features. That said, the LE was described as a little basic, and the model was not especially exciting to drive compared with some rivals.
The 2014 Camry also benefits from a broad powertrain range. It was available with a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with 178 horsepower, a 3.5-litre V6 with 268 horsepower, and a Camry Hybrid with 200 horsepower. Fuel economy was another strength, with the hybrid rated at 5.7 to 6.0 L/100 km combined. For buyers, that means the 2014 Camry offers a useful mix of space, efficiency, and proven reliability, even if its personality remains more sensible than sporty.

Test drove one and its comfortable as the Ford Fusion, has the leg space for taller folks in the rear. The trunk space is adequate enough to fit 4 large duffel bags flat + 1 on top of those so if youre planning a trip and have a lot of goodies, you dont need a roof rack to transfer them ( unless you have something more than 4 ft, like fishing rods or tripods etc ). Ride is good and absorbs bumps well. The cars roll isnt hard when turning at speed and it can do 15 to 55 in a great amount of time when you need to accelerate going onto the highway. I would say if youre looking for used, at a great price, dont hesitate to purchase one! Test drive it first a few times to get a feel. And if it fits like a glove, I say go for it!

handles well, does great on gas, nice leather interior, touch screen, bluetooth, power seat for driver, quiet engine. Nice vehicle for families that are large or small. I enjoy the comfort and feel of the vehicle. Nice tint to keep the inside slightly cooler. Ample trunk space for packing and traveling

There are 55 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of choice in the used market.
Is the 2014 Toyota Camry a good car?
Generally — the 2014 Toyota Camry earns a 4.4/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its reliability, comfort, and fuel efficiency, and many also like the spacious trunk and smooth ride. For you, that makes it a sensible choice if you want a straightforward midsize sedan that is easy to live with and built around practicality rather than flash. With 23.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop carefully.
Is the 2014 Toyota Camry reliable?
Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.
The owner feedback highlights reliability, dependability, and a car that feels trouble-free for commuting and travelling. That lines up with its reputation for being cost-effective and generally well built, which is exactly what many used buyers want from a midsize sedan. For long-term ownership, the main risk is less about the car’s core durability and more about finding one that has been maintained properly.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Toyota Camry?
This is still a seller’s market, so you should act selectively and be ready to move when a well-priced listing appears.
- Deal availability: 23.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 55 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices are up 3.91% year-over-year.
If you find a listing below $12,587 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2014 Toyota Camry's resale value?
The current average of $14,329 CAD sits slightly above last year's $13,789 CAD.
That upward move suggests the market still sees value in this model year, which can help support resale strength if you buy and later decide to sell. The Camry’s reputation for comfort, reliability, and low-stress ownership tends to keep it on shoppers’ shortlists. If you maintain it well and keep mileage and condition in check, you should have a decent chance of holding onto value better than many mainstream sedans.
Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2014 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2014 if:
- 23.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices are up 3.91% year-over-year.
- Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: If you want a proven, comfortable, and practical midsize sedan, the 2014 Camry is a strong primary choice. If you are more price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than chasing the newest badge.
