Yes — the 2014 Subaru Impreza earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It is built around standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, a practical compact-car layout, and a straightforward powertrain choice, so it suits you well if you want everyday usability with added traction confidence. The 2014 Impreza’s fourth-generation setup was meant to be practical and familiar, with only minor changes for the model year, which can be reassuring if you want a used car without a lot of complexity. Its standard all-wheel drive and reputation for durability support its appeal as a dependable daily driver. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that age-related wear may show up in a car that was built to be affordable rather than especially refined.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Subaru Impreza?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 21.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 73 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.39% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $7,639 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Subaru Impreza's resale value?

The current average of $7,639 CAD sits slightly below last year's $8,923 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the model has become more accessible for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to stay competitive on asking price. Because the 2014 Impreza is positioned as a practical, all-weather compact car, demand should remain tied to shoppers who value standard all-wheel drive and straightforward ownership. If you keep the car in good condition and price it realistically, you should be better positioned when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Subaru Impreza or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 21.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.39% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a proven, affordable used Subaru with standard all-wheel drive and a simple, familiar setup, the 2014 is a sensible choice. If you are price-sensitive, you can also use the softer market to compare nearby years and see whether a newer example offers enough extra value to justify the jump.
