Is the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

Generally — the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder earns a 4/5 user rating, which points to solid owner satisfaction for a family-focused three-row SUV. Owners commonly praise its spacious interior, powerful performance, and useful features, and the cabin is described as especially practical for commuting and road trips. It also fits well if you want a roomy SUV with mild off-road capability from available all-wheel drive. With 17.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some market value to be found if you shop carefully.

Is the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback does point to reliability concerns around the CVT transmission, so you should pay close attention to service history and how the vehicle drives. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is more about transmission condition than the SUV’s overall usefulness.

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 17.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 122 listings available.

If you find a listing below $9,525 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $9,884 CAD sits slightly below last year's $11,085 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the model has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help limit further downside for a future seller. If you buy at the right price, you may have a better chance of holding value than if you pay near the top of the range. Strong demand for roomy family SUVs can also help support resale interest when your vehicle is well maintained.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?
