Is the 2014 Nissan Murano a good car?

Yes — the 4.75/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its reliability, comfort, and value for money, and many also highlight the smooth ride and good handling. For you, that makes it a sensible choice if you want a comfortable, value-oriented midsize SUV for everyday use rather than something focused on sharp driving thrills. With 34.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still a healthy share of attractive options in the market.

Is the 2014 Nissan Murano reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to reliability and a trouble-free ownership experience, which is encouraging if you want something you can count on over time. That said, as with any used SUV, long-term ownership risk still depends on maintenance history and how carefully the vehicle was driven and serviced.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Nissan Murano?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you’re comparing listings.

• Deal availability: 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 73 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.37% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $9,485 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Nissan Murano's resale value?

The current average of $9,604 CAD sits slightly below last year's $11,484 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price carefully to stay competitive. If you buy at the right number now, you may have less downside risk later than someone who paid closer to last year’s average. The Murano’s value-oriented reputation and strong owner satisfaction should help support demand when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Nissan Murano or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.37% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a comfortable, value-oriented midsize SUV and you find a well-priced 2014, it makes sense to focus on this year first. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby model years to see whether a newer example offers a better mix of features and condition for only a small premium.
