Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Mazda MAZDA3?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 27.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 189 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.84% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $8,875 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Mazda MAZDA3's resale value?

The current average of $9,537 CAD sits slightly below last year's $10,696 CAD.

That softer pricing can work in your favour if you're buying now, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. The current market suggests the model is still accessible, yet not so discounted that it loses all appeal. If you maintain the car well and keep records, you should be in a better position when it comes time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.85/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Mazda MAZDA3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 27.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.84% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.85/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a compact car with sharp styling, strong owner approval, and a price that has eased, the 2014 is the better primary target. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a similar car offers a better listing price or equipment mix, but the 2014 remains a sensible place to start.
