Is the 2014 Mazda MAZDA3 a good car?

Yes — the 4.85/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its engaging performance, stylish interior, great handling, fuel efficiency, and comfortable ride. It also fits well if you want a compact car that feels more premium and still stays competitively priced. With 28.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2014 Mazda MAZDA3 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.85/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that many people have found dependable enough to live with day to day, especially when it comes to its overall driving experience and fuel economy. At the same time, some owners mention maintenance costs as a concern, so a well-documented service history matters. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is manageable, but you should still inspect the car carefully and budget for upkeep.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Mazda MAZDA3?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 28.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 196 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.21% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $8,816 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Mazda MAZDA3's resale value?

The current average of $9,715 CAD sits slightly below last year's $10,820 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the car more attractive to buyers now but may limit upside for a future seller. If you buy at the right price and keep the car in strong condition, you may be better positioned to protect value later. The current spread between the year-round low and high also shows there is still meaningful room for pricing variation depending on condition, mileage, and equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.85/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Mazda MAZDA3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 28.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.21% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.85/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a stylish, efficient compact car with strong owner approval and a market that still offers some deal opportunities, the 2014 is a solid place to start. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, equipment, and asking price.
