How much does the 2014 Kia Sorento cost?

Prices have softened 14.64% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 103 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2014 Kia Sorento a good car?

Yes — the 4.55/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its reliability, comfort, and features, and the model’s smooth ride and spacious interior make it appealing if you want a practical midsize SUV for family use. The available third row adds flexibility, though it is best suited to smaller passengers. With 15.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2014 Kia Sorento reliable?

Owners rate it 4.55/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights reliability, and many drivers describe the Sorento as dependable and trouble-free in everyday use. That said, some reviews mention control malfunctions and third-row limitations, so you should still inspect the vehicle carefully and verify maintenance history before buying. For used shoppers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the overall reputation and more about finding an example that has been well maintained.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Kia Sorento?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings closely.

• Deal availability: 15.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 103 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.64% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $7,728 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Kia Sorento's resale value?

The current average of $8,104 CAD sits slightly below last year's $9,493 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Sorento easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you purchase at the lower end of the range, you may have a better chance of preserving value than if you pay near the top of the market. Strong demand for practical family SUVs can help support future resale, especially when the vehicle has been well cared for.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.55/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2014 Kia Sorento or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 15.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.64% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.55/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a practical midsize SUV with a strong owner satisfaction record and a softer used-market price, the 2014 Sorento is the better starting point. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, you may want to compare it with nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-priced example rather than the newest one.
