That modest increase suggests the market has held up reasonably well for this model year. If you plan to sell later, the current pricing trend is a positive sign because it shows buyers are still willing to pay for the Grand Cherokee’s mix of comfort and capability. The fact that prices are also sitting within a fairly tight year-round range suggests resale values may remain relatively stable if the vehicle is kept in good condition.

Should I buy a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 22.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.76% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want this generation’s blend of comfort, premium features, and genuine capability, the 2014 is a strong place to start. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than the newest badge on the tailgate.
