Is now a good time to buy a used 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to be patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 190 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.03% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $9,539 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport's resale value?

The current average of $9,539 CAD sits slightly below last year's $11,361 CAD.

That price movement suggests the model has become more accessible for buyers, but it also means a future seller may face a softer resale environment than someone who bought when prices were higher. If you plan to own it for a while, the current market can work in your favour on purchase price, even if resale strength is more modest. For a seller, condition, mileage, and service history will matter more when the market is trending down.

Should I buy a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

The bottom line: The 2014 is a sensible pick if you want a used Santa Fe Sport with a lower average price and a decent share of value listings. If you are especially price-sensitive, keep comparing nearby years and individual listings to see whether a later model offers a better fit for your budget.
