That softer pricing can help you buy more affordably now, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. Should I buy a 2014 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2014 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2014 if:

• 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.75% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.94/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $13,883 CAD, the 2015 costs more than the current year's $12,315 CAD average.
• It adds a stronger reputation for long-term durability and everyday competence.

The bottom line: Choose the 2014 if you want the better value and are focused on price, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer model year, the 2015 is the better secondary path for buyers who prioritise a slightly more refined ownership case.
