This is my second xterra gen2, it has fantastic power and acceleration, is very capable off road, and rides very nicely. The only downside to this vehicle is the 17mpg avg. if you plan on buying one always check the radiator fluid as they are known for failures that max the radiator fluid with the trans fluid.

All I’ve ever driven are big SUV’s like suburban or Navigator L. So the Xterra gave me my first taste of a crossover. I love the pep and tight handling. It’s like driving a super quick go-cart. It’s surprisingly roomy inside as well and I’m good with basic features. What I’m missing is arm rests, my right arm is lost while driving; the console sets too far back and there are none on the seats. The only “new” feature I miss is automatic headlights; it’s been so long since I’ve had to remember to turn off my headlights I’m a little nervous that a dead battery may be in my future...hopefully not. Storage is nice, good jack, and full size spare. It is kind of funny how you drive this thing for about 15 minutes and then you feel the urge to go off road. It’s really fun!

This one replaced my Xterra that was totaled. I love this car. May not be for everyone but I wouldn’t have any other car. The features are great. The car was a great value particularly with the low mileage. Great deal!

I wanted to replace my Jeep XJ with something comparable, while staying away from Chrysler ( a Chrysler will make you cry, sir). I consider this a Japanese XJ. The Pro 4x trim is the one to get. My Cherokee got 16MPG, and the Xterra is about the same. My only complaint is that there is no sunroof. I do believe this is as close as I could get to my XJ, and I am 100% satisfied with it.
