2nd farm car, bought from a nieghbour... the combination of a 1.8l Subaru Boxxer engine and the virtual non-existance of exhaust pipe meant the making of a monster that could go anywhere and be heard from across the valleys. It's life was ended thanks to a gate post and me attempting a 4WD-powerslide around a corner

Typical Subaru, keeps on running. Fuel efficient for an AWD vehicle. Handles corners well with a low center of gravity. With proper maintenance, these cars give you years/miles of service. Subaru loyal drivers can provide testimony to their longevity.

Performance - Almost unstoppable in the snow with winter tires on. Great ground clearance - better than most SUVs. AWD system up to most challenges, though not quite up to Audi Quattro standards. Quality - With 144K we're starting to see more frequent repairs - up to 100K was fairly trouble free. One repair under warranty - replaced the transfer case. Appearance - Just starting to see rust LR wheel well. Fun - This car is practical and functional - I won't describe it as fun.

I loved this car! Interior was a little lacking for me as it was an older car. It def had some pickup to it, just would have been better if they came out with a turbo gt model in 96.
