CVT 2.2L trans

Asked by DIY_MOM_76 May 14, 2017 at 09:20 PM about the 2003 Saturn VUE Base AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello, I would be one of the many who bought a
2003 Saturn Vue Awd and I really liked my car until
I started having issues with it. I was weary about
buying it to begin with by here I am and there it sits
not moving. So I've been searching a yr now for the
best answer for what to do with it. I believe that the
chain that rotates the planetary is broken. I could
be way wrong. It will engage in gear but will not
move. I very replaced the speed sensor first off and
no change. Could anyone give me some insight
into a trans I can trade this one over to and not
worry about having this problem with Saturn trans
again or even what else I might be over looking if
you believe it's not the chain. Thank you

have someone versed to check if everything that is moving ,a broken axel or drive shaft component could be behind a good transmission and free wheeling, speed sensor? an adaptable trans? so far as I know, nothing, ill check further

How many miles are on it? Could it just be that the clutches have worn out and time for rebuild or replacement and have you had it to a shop. Do not keep wasting time, get-er-done.
