i have an 2006 saturn vue with a 3.5 v6 honda motor thaas a rough idle

Was it a GM or Honda Mechanic? I actually would have probably brought it to a Honda mechanic if I were in your situation where the motor was known to be Honda. There is a chance that maybe they are 1 tooth out of sync on the timing belt replacement and this is causing you problems. V6s don't usually have rough idle, I did have a 3.0 L Honda Accord and the idle was very smooth. Assuming the mechanic only touched the front of the engine to change the timing belt, there is always a chance he forgot to re attach a vacuum hose that he had to take off to do the repair. Check that first. Another thing, does the 3.5 L Honda have solid or hydraulic lifters? My 3.0 l had solid so those need to be adjusted every so often, but not sure what the 3.5 has. I would bring it to a Honda Mechanic, if might be that they have to check the timing belt install.... hopefully its something more simple.
