the valet switch is activated in the glove box. open the glove box and look to the left side around the opening, there will be a switch to disable the opening of the trunk from the fob or rear trunk switch

Michael states it correctly...worked the first time, like a charm... However, the manual key attached to FOB Transponder, which works to lock or unlock Driver's door, will not turn the lock up under the lid on the trunk either counter lock-wise to lock or clockwise to unlock. Any answers ?

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Fixed, although the release on the key fob works regardless of valet switch setting on my 2005 ES330.

I found it in the glove box - but still didn’t work. I can hear the sound like it opens when I used either the switch or the button at driver’s side. But only gave a sound without really opened the trunk- anyone has an idea?

I wish I could give this guy a tip for saving me a trip to the dealership. My wife hit the button by accident and I was freaking out. This worked for me. Thank you!!!

So easy! I must have accidentally hit the valet button when I was putting back the owner's manual.
