replaced rear window front control not working

Asked by amti May 23, 2016 at 12:19 PM about the 2007 Lexus ES 350 FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had a shattered rear window replaced by a reputable glass company. Prior to them replacing the rear window, the automatic controls in the front worked fine. The rear window was able to move freely from the front and back switch. However, upon replacing the window, the technician checked the switches and the window no longer works from the front switch, but still works from the rear door panel switch. He is telling me that is not his problem but that my front switch is either dirty or damaged. Is he correct or did he forget to connect a wire?

try resetting the memory, you do this by turning on your key, then go to each door and run the window down and then back up hold the switch in the up position for 3-5 seconds. once you have done all windows then try the main switches at the drivers door. Hope this helps.
