Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought new Led tail lights for my Porsche
911/997. The left tail light is brighter than the right. I
was told that it is suppose to operate in this
manner. Can you give me the correct answer?
Thanks

I spoke to Jim Ellis Porsche Technician. This is the fog light feature. The light is working properly.

Most german cars come with a rear fog light. when you turn the lights on with the switch the first pull out is the front fog lamps and the second pull will be your rear fog. So yes it is working normal if you have the light switch on with it set for both front and rear fogs in the on position.

All German cars delivered in Europe have fog lights. Push your headlight switch back towards the dashboard and see if it goes to the same level as the other side. If your switch is already pushed in, then one of the 2 lights could be defective.

No problem, I think that the LED tail lights are one of the best visual upgrades for the 997.

I have a lot of people asking me about my Led lights. They are awesome at night. You are right Micheal.
