Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1995 Pontiac Sunfire Convertible. I went over a speed bump pretty fast and then the car started making a strange noise. Stopped the car, put it in park. After looking under the hood (to no avail) i started the car but now it will not move. The automatic shifter just moves back and forth but does not "Lock" into any gear. Also, have some electrical looking wires hanging down by the passenger front tire. Please help. Any ideas before I have to pay 100.00 tow bill. Thank you

yo could have damaged the transmission,or the wires could have come off a sensor i would take a good look under car at trans with wires in hand and look for a plugin the same as wire plug.
