white spokes on the tire coming from the wheel. is this dangerous?

Asked by ZeeBee's Aug 15, 2013 at 08:08 PM about the 1999 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had a tire that was low on air (had been sitting for a few weeks and was at 23 psi). i filled it up (32 psi) and went for a drive. then i noticed that there are white spokes on the tire coming from the wheel.
they are evenly spaced like a bicycle.
the wheels were dirty (white mud type) before the drive, now they are generally clean.
is this dangerous?
these are not the kind of wheels (blue chrome) i would like to have a blowout in, and far from a tire shop to get it looked at.

kind of hard to explain. could the white lines be spewing from the wheel joins of the tire?
