Why does Backup sensor stay on every time I back up even when nothing is there?

Asked by Guru9LSNX5 Aug 30, 2021 at 07:27 PM about the 2021 RAM 2500 Big Horn Crew Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently purchased a 2021 Dodge Ram Diesel.  When putting the truck in
reverse, there is an alarm sound that goes off.  It is not a warning backup sound
as you only hear it in the cab.  The dealership said it is the backup sensor, but
there is nothing behind me.  Anyone else have this issue?  It is a piercing alarm
to hear in the cab of the truck.
